Why use transformational coaching?
You can’t move mountains
by whispering at them.

Why use transformational coaching?
- Because you know you need to make significant, lasting changes in your life, and you have no idea where to begin or what to do.
- Because you see the effects your “first formation” had on you and you want to consciously choose something different.
- Because things are dramatically shifting around you and you are feeling uncertain about things that once felt “carved in stone.”
- Because you’re going through something difficult and you want to make sure you come out on the other side of it a different and better person than when it began.
- Because you are no longer who you WERE but you’re not entirely certain who you want to BE.
- Because therapy has been helpful in the past, but you’re still not where you want to be.
- Because you are struggling in some area of your life, but you don’t have a mental illness or want a mental health diagnosis in your permanent medical records.
Or you might choose transformational coaching quite simply BECAUSE COACHING WORKS.
Here’s what a survey of the literature shows about the benefits of coaching:
Here’s what a survey of the literature shows about the benefits of coaching:
210 coaching clients, most of whom had experienced transformational coaching, were surveyed about their experiences after the coaching by the International Coach Federation.
The results were notable:
- 60.5% more balanced life
- 57.1% lower stress levels
- 52.4% more self-confidence
- 39.5% enhanced communication skills
There have been similar transformational successes from performance coaching:
The Institute of Coaching cites that over 70% of individuals who receive coaching benefited from not just from improved work performance but also from improved relationships and more effective communication skills.
The same study also found:
- 90% of clients who hired a coach was satisfied with the experience
- 96% of clients would hire a coach again
- 80% of clients improved their self-confidence
- 73% of clients improved their relationships
- 72% of clients improved their communication skills
- 68% of clients experienced a higher level of self-awareness
- 67% of clients improved their work-life balance
A variety of other sources also report the following benefits:
- Better self-understanding
- Increased insight into how they impact others
- Decreased self-limiting thoughts and beliefs
- Identified and reframed unrealistic expectations
- Increased ability to treat themselves with more compassion and self-acceptance
- Explored, challenged, and changed negative beliefs around conflict and power
The final forming of a person’s character lies in their own hands.

Transformational coaching focuses on equipping you with the resources you need to identify where you are now (and how you got there), where you ultimately want to be when the dust settles, and how to get you from one to the other.
You see, whatever it is you’re facing—it’s IS going to form you, one way or another.
The biggest benefit of RE|formational coaching is that I help you make sure it is for the BETTER.
How do we do that together?
Well, we:
- Create a vision of the future that you want, then support you as you pursue it
- Transform your thinking and understand why you were stuck to begin with
- Cultivate awareness and choose to choose through intelligence and mindfulness
- Develop a sense of identity and worth that is dependent neither upon your education/accomplishments/career nor upon your circumstance or relationships
- Identify and overcome points of resistance and inertia
- Process and lament areas of deep grief or emotion that are blocking the path forward
- Master the mindset, skills and strategies you need to grow and mature
- Learn to adjust your expectations but not give up completely on their dreams or goals
Try not to resist the changes that come your way. Instead, let life live through you. And do not worry that your life is turning upside down. How do you know that the side you are used to is better than the one to come?

Why have I personally chosen transformational coaching over counseling?
I’ve been a counselor for 25 years. Why would I make this change?
Well, the last ten years have taught me a lot about myself.
Things like who I am, who I am NOT, and who I really WANT TO BE.
And one of the most surprising things I learned is that what I really, really, REALLY love most is to help people “suffer better.” Helping people in difficult or painful seasons of life do so in a way that ideally brings about change that is positive and valuable.
So why not still practice counseling, you may ask?
Because I’ve come to believe transformational coaching is more effective.
And because I believe that, unlike people who have unlimited counseling sessions at a nominal fee who are really just thinking about THINKING ABOUT changing, people who are willing to invest in coaching are really ready make a move and dive into the work necessary to experience RE|formation.
So, is it more expensive?
Yes.
And, NO.
You could pay a $35 copay weekly for 5 years and, no matter how hard I worked, you could never make much progress on the issues you claim are important. OR,
Or you could spend less than HALF of that $9100 on a year of coaching and make more progress in a year than you’ve made in the rest of your lifetime.
This is why I’m here.
Because life is too short to just piddle around.
There is no passion to be found in playing small—in settling for a life that is less than you are capable of living.

I want to work with people who are ready to dig in and commit to deep transformation.
I want to work with people who are willing to invest in their own lives and futures.
I want to work with those ready to examine how your “first formation” determines how you’re currently reacting/responding to your life—where it’s helping, but, more importantly, where it’s hindering you.
I want to help people dig deep, below all the surface-level fluff, to truly transform your deep-rooted thoughts, beliefs, and way of being.
I want to tunnel below mere behavioral modifications (what we DO) and carve out deep, lasting change at the character level (who we ARE).
I want to help you take advantage of difficult, formative experiences that naturally occur in life and engage with them in an intentional way that allows YOU to determine how they ultimately transform you and your life.
And I want to convince you that suffering changes for the better you IF YOU LET IT.
So, is coaching right for YOU?
I empower women of all ages to effectively navigate difficult life experiences in ways that RE-form them from the inside out.
If you agree with any of the following statements, then RE|formation Coaching may be exactly what you’re looking for:
I want help navigating a difficult or challenging season in such a way that brings some form of resolution and ultimately RE|forms me for the better.
I want to work with someone who is both insight and outcome focused.
I want to move beyond surface level behavioral modification or cognitive restructuring (what I DO and that I THINK) and be deeply and permanently transformed at the character level (who I want to BE).
I want to work with someone who can integrate my faith into the coaching process.
I want to acknowledge and grieve my past and present pain but spend the majority of my energy on RE|forming my present and future.
I want to utilize the latest best tools from positive psychology, strengths-based therapy, systems theory, cognitive-behavioral therapy, neuropsychology, enneagram research, spiritual direction, and biblical wisdom and not have to choose between them.
I want to develop the kind of resilience or faith it takes to walk in complete surrender and acceptance.
I want to learn how to “suffer better.”
